Δε φτάνουν τα λόγια να περιγράψουν τη Μελίνα!

Melina Mercouri (1925-1994)

She set new standards for volatility in the cinema,
in comedy or tragedy she went all out:
the most robust and carefree of playgirls,
the greediest of thieves,
the most passionate of adulterers,
the most tortured and intense of artists.

Η Μελίνα μας,
η τελευταία ελληνίδα θεα!!

«Don’t Ask Me»

Quit acting so friendly.
Don’t nod don’t laugh all nicely.
Don’t think you’ll up-end me.
Don’t sigh, don’t sip your iced-tea.
And don’t say, «It’s been a while…»
And don’t flash that stupid smile.

Don’t ask me how I’ve been.

Don’t think I’ve forgotten,
you never liked that necklace.
So cordial, so rotten…
Kiss, kiss, let’s meet for breakfast.
Don’t show up so on-time
and don’t act like you’re so kind

Don’t ask me how I’ve been.

Don’t sit there and play just
so frank, so straight, so candid,
so thoughtful, so gracious,
so sound, so even-handed.
Don’t be so damn benign
and don’t waste my fucking time.

P.S
this song goes out there somewhere
as for me, i just can’t seem to find time  for more posts..  (:

Ok Go is one of the bands i simply adore!!
They became known throuht their crazy video on youtube «Here it goes again» (you remember the one with the band dancing on treadmills!!! )
As for their concerts they are even crazier than their videos! They always have fresh ideas to share with their audience

Their latest album includes many interesting songs and of course many interesting videos. Here is «Wtf» which as the band has revealed is inspired by Prince.

A lot of work was needed for this next video too.
Ok Go had a video idea for the recorded version of «This Too Shall Pass». They approached Adam Sadowsky, president of Syyn Labs to design a Rube Goldberg inspired machine in which they would base their music video around. After months of preparation and 20 consecutive 18 hr days, they finally got the perfect take.

and here is the music video (:

You know you can’t keep letting it get you down
And you can’t keep dragging that dead weight around
Is it really all that much to lug around
Better run like hell when you hit the ground

When the morning comes
When the morning comes

Can’t stop those kids from dancing but why would you want to
Especially when you are already getting good?
‘Cause when your mind don’t move then your knees don’t bend
But don’t go blaming the kids again

When the morning comes
When the morning comes
When the morning comes

When the morning comes
When the morning comes
When the morning comes

Let it go, this too shall pass
Let it go, this too shall pass

(Let it go, this too shall pass)

You know you can’t keep letting it get you down
No, you can’t keep letting it get you down

(Let it go, this too shall pass)
Oh, is it really all that much to lug around
And you can’t keep letting it get you down

When the morning comes
Oh, you can’t keep letting it get you down
No, you can’t keep letting it get you down
(When the morning comes)

Of the Blue Colour ofthe Sky is their third studio album. It was released on January 12, 2010 on Capitol Records. The album’s name, lyrics, and concept are based on The Influence of the Blue Ray of the Sunlight and of the Blue Colour of the Sky, a pseudoscientific book published in 1876. Its style was noted as a significant departure from the pop rock of their earlier albums.
